Jason Buffkin grew up a military brat, moving from place to place for most of his youth before settling north of Atlanta. After finishing high school, Jason set off for a 4-year stint in the Air Force.
It was during this time that he bought his first fly rod at the BX. Jason then spent the next several months learning to cast on the beautiful Feather River in Northern California.
Upon leaving the military, Buffkin developed his skills as a flyfisherman on the the Chattahoochee and Tuckaseegee rivers.
While relatively new to competitive flyfishing, Jason is a lifelong student of the sport. He looks forward to contributing to the growth of the competitive fly fishing in the US.
