Paul Thompson takes Bronze at Olympiad Fly Masters, Team Stonefly places six in top ten!

LAKE LURE, N.C. (APRIL 25, 2010):  The Rocky Broad River looked more like a mud bath than a trusted fishing hole after a torrential downpour swept through Lake Lure, N.C. the evening before the final round of the 2010 Olympiad Fly Masters Tournament on April 25, 2010 resulting in only four scored fish.

Paul Thompson adjusted to the conditions and was able to land one of the four fish, securing the bronze medal , a cash prize, and ranking points in the TroutLegend Cooperative Ranking system.

Overall, Team Stonefly took six of the top ten spots, including the top four casting spots on Saturday.

The Olympiad Fly Masters is now part of the TroutLegend Fly Fishing Cooperative where points from seven different tournaments across North America are tallied up for placement on the National Leaders Board.
“If a tournament title and National Board Points were not at stake, none of these guys would have been out fishing in water this muddy and rough,” said tournament marketing director and judge Michelle Yelton.
